ADD TESTING & RESEARCH, INC. (here after referred to as ADD TESTING LAB), is an ASTA Certified private independent Laboratory. ADD TESTING LAB, is a contemporary modified breed of Bacto-Analytical Lab (Established affiliated with Commodity Lab in 1978) and Bacti-Chem Lab (Established in 1984). In 1987 ADD TESTING & RESEARCH, INC. was established. Today ADD TESTING LAB provides complete chemical and microbiological analytical services to a variety of clients in the areas of food (fresh, processed, canned and frozen), nutrition facts, spices (raw, seasoning), herbs, essential oils, vegetable oils and other agricultural products. In addition, ADD TESTING Lab provides analytical testing for cereal, cosmetic, feed, and nutraceutical industries.

Since 1978 the president was partner and director of these Labs. He earned his M.S. degree in 1963 and his Ph.D. degree in 1966 in chemistry. He has been involved in the academic and industrial areas since 1960.

Since the conception of ADD TESTING LAB the co-director, who holds M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in entomology, joined our staff. She is a talented researcher and scientist who specializes in entomology and pharmacology.

Because of its highly qualified staff, ADD TESTING & RESEARCH, INC. has earned an outstanding reputation for the quality, consistency and reliability of its work and performance. At ADD TESTING LAB, we have invested tremendous resources to develop quality assurance program to assure that you receive the most comprehensive, consistent, accurate and reliable analytical data possible. Quality of work, confidentiality of results, low cost of testing and turn around time are our major goal.

We strictly follow the AOAC, FDA, USDA, ASTA, AACC, USP, FCC, EPA Manual of Chemical Methods for pesticides and other approved methods complying with the current Good Laboratory Practice Guide Lines.

THE RELATION BETWEEN ADD TESTING LAB, IMPORTERS AND FDA

The role of the private laboratories in evaluating the quality of imported foods and food products has been recognized by the Food and Drug Administration. The role of the private labs and their relation to the importers are clearly illustrated in the Regulatory Procedure Manual of the FDA. ADD TESTING LAB is among the labs that deal with the FDA and with their programs on automatic detention and other matters. We submit our test results to number of FDA districts throughout the USA. Therefore, we are in constant contact with the FDA in many districts. Our reputation with the FDA has stemmed from submitting the worksheets of different tests and documents (sampling, collection size, method of sample preparation, methods used in the analysis, controls used and their purity and expiration dates, chromatographic charts, TLC plates, spectral curves and any documentation deemed needed) designed to provide the reviewer with the information needed to evaluate the results.

The reputation with the FDA is also evolved from the FDA visiting teams to our facilities to inspect the quality control procedures and standard of work involved in testing products. This represents only one phase of the capabilities of ADD TESTING LAB. Your problems and questions will be resolved in the same manner as is our relationship with government agencies.
